For Kiran / Site information
Accessibility
For Kiran is designed to be fully readable, navigable, and accessible without relying on visual effects or complex interactions.
Reading and navigation
Semantic landmarks and headings give the story a clear reading order. A keyboard-visible skip link leads directly to main content. All chapters are available without JavaScript, hover states, or complex gestures.
Links and buttons have visible focus outlines. The chapter menu supports full keyboard navigation (including Escape to close). Controls provide touch targets of at least 44 CSS pixels. Text remains fully selectable and zoomable.
Motion and countdown controls
The site respects device reduced-motion preferences, turning off smooth scrolling and complex animations automatically. Autoplay audio and flashing images are completely avoided. Interactive controls allow manual motion toggling at any time.
Countdown readouts can be paused and resumed without affecting the schedule. State changes are announced politely to screen readers without continuous tick clutter.
Typography & contrast
Fluid typography reflows gracefully across screen sizes. High contrast is maintained across dark midnight backgrounds and warm ivory surfaces. Decorative graphic elements are hidden from screen readers.
